Invisalign is a type of orthodontic treatment provided to effectively help in the correction of a number of orthodontic issues. It can be used to treat mild or moderately misaligned teeth and also help align the bite by using virtually invisible, removable and comfortable clear aligners. The distinctive properties of the Invisalign treatment process, such as the use of clear and removable aligners, make this method of straightening teeth a superior choice to noticeable traditional metal braces.

How does Invisalign work?

  • Consultation Appointment: This visit is to assess your smile and decide if the Invisalign treatment is right for you.
  • Digital Impression:  Our dentists will complete a series of 3D digital impressions and photographs.
  • Obtaining the Trays: The digital impressions are sent to a dental laboratory where a series of precision trays designed to move your teeth, are created. These trays click into place over your natural teeth. Each set of trays is worn for 2 weeks before you progress to the next set.
By the end of the series you will have the beautiful smile you always dreamed of!

Frequently Asked Questions:

Invisalign can be less expensive than traditional wires and brackets depending on the case and your dental provider.  It’s benefits often outweigh the traditional methods and therefore the reason people choose Invisalign.

Eating with the aligners in place is possible but they are removable, therefore it is reccomended to remove your trays before eating. Traditional wires and brackets cannot be removed so there are limitations on what foods you can eat to avoid dislodgement of brackets, wires and food adhering to braces.

Invisalign is a treatment designed for permanent results in the same manner as traditional braces. It is also natural for teeth to try and move back to their original position (relapse) if “retainers” are not worn especially immediately following treatment.  Retainers keep your teeth in their new positions.
