Oral Cancer Screening
Uncontrollable growth of a cell that causes damage or invasion of surrounding tissue is known as cancer. Any kind of cancer growth is life-threatening if not diagnosed and treated at an early stage. A long-lasting sore in the throat or mouth can be considered an initial sign of growing oral cancer. A regular appointment with your dentist is helpful in the screening of oral cancer.

How does Oral Cancer Screening work?
There are two main aspects of Oral Cancer Screening
- Visual Examination: Asymmetries, bumps, swellings, patches of color, ulcerations, or other abnormalities in the oral section are some of the visual things which help our dental professional to identify a growing cancer cell.
- Physical Examination: Besides visual observation, your dental professional might sometimes need to touch your neck, face, and mouth to feel any abnormalities in form of nodules or masses. Oral symptoms are generally not painful in the early stage.
